Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital at Gangdong
Located in the eastern part of Seoul, Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital at Gangdong was established in 2006, as the second dental school hospital of Kyung Hee University School of Dentistry with a 50-year history. An international-grade team of professors and specialists from the dental school has been carrying out the duties of high-quality dentistry, research and student education for the past 14 years in the east Seoul. With more than 57,000 outpatients a year, 1,300 inpatients and 250 outpatients a day, the medical facility has become an internationally recognized home for dentistry and education. The founder established a unique medical care system called 'one floor and real time' from the start of its opening in Korea. This system has created patient-friendly hospitals that can achieve optimal treatment effects by implementing patient-centered close collaboration while minimizing patient travel-movement and waiting time. This dental hospital has 6 specialized departments and 4 clinical centers: Department of Conservative Dentistry, Department of Biomaterials & Prosthodontics, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Department of Periodontology, Department of Orthodontics. It also houses the Dental Remodeling Center, Orthodontics Center, Implant Center, and Integrated Dental Care Center. In the same way as Kyung Hee Medical Center in Hoegi-dong, the first medical institution, the three university hospitals (medical hospital, dental hospital, and oriental medical hospital) are fulfilling their duties as the second medical institution of Kyung Hee University Health Care System.
