Department of Oral Anatomy and Developmental Biology
Oral anatomy and developmental biology aims to study the structure and characteristics of normal cells, tissues and organs and to understand the process of development, growth, modification, healing, regeneration and aging of the human body structure. This department also studies the functions associated with the structure of human body and develop systematic expertise and research skills that can be used to solve problems in clinical situations.
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology
Oral and maxillofacial pathology aims to deeply understand the essence of various oral and maxillofacial area diseases in order to establish the exact diagnosis of these diseases and to suggest appropriate treatment directions, the causes of disease, pathogenesis mechanisms and clinical, radiological, microscopic treatments as well as to explore the healing and regeneration of lesions.
Department of Dental Materials
Dental material studies the basic handling methods of dental materials such as structure, physical properties and biological stability. It requires the collaborative effort of dental prosthodontics, dental preservation, orthodontics and pediatric dentistry in order to achieve balanced development that can lead to in-depth research such as development of new dental materials and application technique, and research on the latest dental instruments and equipment.
Department of Preventive and Social Dentistry
Preventive and social dentistry understands the basic concept of oral health care for maintaining and promoting collective oral health. It also provides information on genetic characteristics, lifestyle, social and local networks, socioeconomic, cultural and environmental conditions and to develop the ability to improve them.
Department of Maxillofacial Biomedical Engineering
Maxillofacial biomedical engineering studies the methods of optimal oral tissue regeneration as well as the understanding and prevention of underlying root causes of oral tissue destruction by studying dentistry biology, bioinformatics, tissue engineering, and related disciplines.
Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology
Dental pharmacology and toxicology studies the mechanism, toxicity, and drug efficacy of various drugs, and applies these learnings clinically. This science explores the characteristics and mechanism of drugs acting in vivo in the latest cell and molecular biology technology and modern pharmacological techniques, and provides a scientific basis for the development of new drugs and treatments for new disease diseases through the identification of intracellular signaling pathways of physiologically active substances.
Department of Oral Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Oral biochemistry and molecular biology is based on the integrated study of biochemistry, genetics, and molecular cell biology as well as the relationship between oral tissues and clinical oral biochemistry and cell biology. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structure, function, metabolism and regulatory mechanism of various biomolecules in the whole body and oral area.
Department of Oral Physiology
Oral physiology studies the normal function and regulation mechanism of the human body by understanding the normal state of the cells, tissues and organs that constitute the oral cavity and learning the individual characteristics to understand the mutual organic relationship and homeostasis.
Department of Dental Education
Dental education aims to instill the basic qualifications of a professional dentist based on the humanities and social sciences. This department also has a program to foster improvements in actual job performance and to self-evaluate achievement levels to develop the ability and attitudes necessary for lifelong learning.
